In these days when Remote Monitoring and home care are very important, a TÜBİTAK Project has been producted . With the reflection of technological advances in the Health Sector , both patients and healthy people who want to feel safe can be kept under control with medical devices that can be placed on the body or worn.

As technology advances, the health sector also takes advantage of it, and it becomes inevitable to put these advances into practice in order for patients to make the most of their treatment opportunities.

Especially Heart Attacks, Heart Surgery or other risky surgeries are a situation that patients shyly accept, are unfamiliar with their processes and see it as a turning point in their lives. The more important the pre-operative preparation and the surgical process, the more important the post-operative period.

For these reasons, with the Project initiated under the leadership of TOBB ETU University, the issue of remote monitoring of patients after a Heart Attack, after rhythm disorders or after Heart Surgery, with mobile devices similar to the monitor systems in the hospital, was discussed. With this preventive treatment concept, possible complications can be detected beforehand and the patient can be treated without losing time. For example: Early diagnosis can be provided for possible complications such as post-operative rhythm disorders, fluid collection in the lungs or fluid collection in the heart's wall (Tamponad).

All over the world, remote patient monitoring systems are developing at an incredible rate. The topic of how to provide more benefits to patients with wired or wireless devices is covered. With the software project prepared by TOBB ETU University (Project name = Cloud Health Case ), a platform has been developed that recognizes all medical devices and combines them in a single software system. Next to this, a tablet was placed that allows the patient to communicate with his Doctor via video conference, and the devices that the patient needs were brought together in a bag. With this Project, a single universal system has been developed by providing the integration of all such devices in the world with this software. Medical devices (sphygmomanometer, EKG, Fever, Holter EKG, Blood Gas Device, INR Device, Saturation, etc.) placed in this bag, an example of which can be seen below in the link, can be changed according to the needs of the patient, and the signals coming from these devices that the patients wear on their fingers or chest can be sent directly to the Hospital or Doctor. The doctor can follow up on his computer instantly and live, as if the patient was in the hospital.

Thanks to the improvement of the internet speed, the signals sent reach the Health Professionals instantly. With this system, no matter where the patient is, they can be under control even when traveling outside the city, in a different country, or even on an airplane. They can instantly contact their doctor or make a daily virtual visit between the doctor and the patient.

As a country that has gained momentum in the field of health and especially in health tourism in the period when national technologies are gaining importance day by day, we know how much Turkey needs many such completed and implemented projects. We hope that this project will contribute to the healing of many patients and will be an effective tool in directing them to life-saving treatments.
