Diabetes now affects one in 10 adults worldwide. In November 02, 2021 The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) has released new figures showing that 537 million adults worldwide are currently living with diabetes.
This figure corresponds to a 16% (74 million) increase compared to IDF estimates in 2019.
These new published findings highlight the alarming growth in the prevalence of diabetes worldwide. 1.5 million deaths each year are thought to be due to diabetes. Most of these deaths are under the age of 70.
The most recent IDF Diabetes Atlas reports that the global prevalence of diabetes has reached 10.5%, with almost half (44.7%) of adults undiagnosed. IDF estimates show that by 2045, 783 million adults – or one in eight adults – will live with diabetes.
The prevalence is increasing faster in low- and middle-income countries than in high-income countries.
According to the figures published in February 2022 in the IDF reports; Total diabetes cases in adults in Turkey were announced as 9,020,900.
If diabetes is not taken under control, it damages many organs in the body and causes the health to deteriorate gradually. In the absence of effective treatment for diabetes, people; Vascular diseases, vision problems, heart-kidney diseases, risk of stroke, risk of gangrene in the arms and legs .... may face serious health problems.
A healthy diet, regular physical activity, maintaining a normal body weight and avoiding smoking are ways to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes and delay its complications.
The example about the mattress sizing page you mentioned in the last WBF can be a perfect example of new keywords and content, and broadening the funnel as well. I can only imagine the sale numbers if that was the site of a mattress selling company.
